Book log
I started trying to read again in my adult life. It's been an adventure relearning what kind of books I like to read- as a child I was enthralled by fantasy worlds and high stakes adventures, now I find my tastes a little different, though I'm not quite sure what they are yet.

The Lost Letters of Pergamum
Bruce W. Longenecker
Genre: fiction
Read: ...2025? Probably.
This book is an extremely compelling touch into New Testament culture. It's written as a series of letters, with enough historical accuracy I at one point in reading the story paused to make sure I was actually reading fiction. The story is set in the real world of that time, and though fictional, lets you see what things were like when the church was first beginning

A heartbreaking yet bittersweet story.

The New World Trilogy
Doug Felton
Genre: fiction

I read this entire trilogy... They weren't bad, but they were weird. They advertised as a Christian Fiction book, yet Christ is hardly mentioned until the 3rd book, and it is then the main character is radically saved. It's overall a strange series that takes strange turns. I enjoyed the first book the most though.

This book genuinely changed me, one of my favorites ever. It brings a new perspective, especially for American Christians, into the very real suffering and sacrifice many Christians face every day.
